"Glory be to He Who carried His servant by night, from the Holy Mosque to the Furthest Mosque, the precincts of which We have blessed. "They, in the seat of the faithful, are in the presence of the most powerful ruler." (Qamar: 55) The creator of all, who's glory is great, reveals in His ayah that such communication is possible If you emerge from the shell, you will find the beloved.

Because he is the true body, the true existent.and what worth does an outer shell have in comparison to the body. Rabbul-alam brings whom he wishes to his presence, and converses with him. He did not need to remove this garment, and the Miraj6 is proof of this.

For all sins are committed with this bodily garment. Similarly, drowning in the midst of Allah's (SWT) ocean of lutuf5, you'd strive to tear off this clothing of your physical frame, to save your faith and reach the one you love. But when one discards the shell that is ones body, the interaction is possible without such physical shells.įor example, if you were in danger of drowning, would you not be more than willing to tear off what clothing you had, if it would make a difference between life and death. This communication sometimes takes place from behind a veil. Such communication is only reserved for those pure and chosen, by Allah (SWT), who wills to choose them for himself, and draw them to himself to teach, inform and show, them what secrets of his, he wills to. Now you're going to ask is communication with Allah (SWT) possible? Once you've destroyed your being, and found the Absolute, everything you do is done with Allah (SWT). You yourself are the greatest obstacle between you and the Existent, deeming it impossible to find. When the raindrop finally fell, it fell in such a state of utter regret and contriteness, that the All mighty not only forgave and pitied it, but cherished this pure and sincere feeling, so much, that when the raindrop broke the surf and sunk into the sea in the form of a bubble, it was embraced by an oyster, which took it within its shell.Īnd working its magic with love, weaving its silk with patience, over time transformed the raindrop into a pearl. Yet, whilst in midair, the raindrop beheld the vast ocean which stretched out beneath it and at the sight of this immensity, became ashamed of its former arrogance. You must realise your insignificance so that you may know the Absolute.Īmidst a down pour of rain, there fell a raindrop that descended from the heavens with pride and conceit, for it thought itself a blessing upon the world. Remove yourself from in between to reveal the Creator, the Creator manifests and possesses as He wills. Sheikh Es'ad Erbili (KS) stated 'In this world I cannot see, I cannot know, anything more futile and helpless than myself.' And these are the words of the Qutb of that age. After this, what place can he have at that divine council? 'We are the tiny ant.' He has discarded of his existence, stripped himself of his selfhood and perceived the truth with his eyes. The Awliya wishes to eliminate his existence, because mans selfhood comprises of a mere dog. We are the tiny ant, Solomon is another." "We are Kafir's of love, the Muslim is another. Not putting oneself forth is achieved through an understanding, not unlike the understanding of the following example: what place has a dog in a great council or meeting? And yet in the divine council of Allah (SWT) there is no place for a dog, nor for any councillor. And that is when His presence is perceived. And at the fourth level they renounce the act of putting forth themselves.

At the third level they perceive just how small they really are. At the second level they strip off their selfhood. Let us explain a mystery hidden by Ahli-Kamal1 as follows:Īt the first level the Awliyaullah discard of their existence. What becomes of that drop when it hits the surf? It had emerged from that sea, and has fallen back into it. There are those that Allah has stripped of their existence, and gifted with His presence.Īllah (SWT) is He, who raises a speck to the zenith of being, and again, casts, that which He wills, back into the sea.
